The short answer, using Ava Travel’s own prices: a 2 day 1 night Halong Bay cruise costs from $102 to $430 per person from October to April, with a median of $165; from May to September the median drops to $151. Per cabin for two, double those numbers: the median cabin is about $330 a night. A 3 day 2 night cruise has a median of $315 per person. The cheapest overnight cruise Ava Travel sells is Annam Junk at $102 per person.

Are Halong Bay cruise prices per person or per cabin?
Both are used, which is why prices online look so different. Ava Travel shows the price per person with two sharing a cabin, and the booking table also shows the total per cabin for two adults. A cabin at $150 per person is $300 per cabin per night. Family and triple cabins are priced for the whole cabin. What is included in a Halong Bay cruise price?
On every cruise Ava Travel sells, the cabin price includes your cabin, the meals on board, entrance fees for the scheduled stops and the activities in the ship’s programme, such as kayaking, cave visits, swimming, a cooking class or squid fishing. Not in the cabin price: transfer from Hanoi (Ava Travel’s shared shuttle is $20 per person one way or $35 return, a private car from $165 return), drinks, spa treatments and tips, unless the package says otherwise.
