Da Nang & Hoi An tour overview

Why this trip

  • The Cham temples of My Son, a UNESCO site in a green valley an hour from Hoi An, with a guide who explains them.
  • You go early, ride the electric shuttle in and watch a short Apsara dance performance.
  • On the way back you make rice paper at a family house and stay there for lunch.
  • You come home the slow way, by boat down the Thu Bon River to Hoi An.

An honest note: much of My Son was damaged by bombing in the war, so several temples are ruins or under restoration. The valley is hot and humid by late morning, and there is little shade between the temple groups.
