Lan Ha Bay cruise overview
Majesty Prime launched in 2025, which makes it the newest ship Ava sells on Lan Ha Bay. It has 24 cabins and every one of them has a balcony.
What Majesty Prime is good at
The second morning is the unusual part. Instead of a guided paddle in a group, the ship drops you at Tra Bau floating village and you kayak the area at your own pace, going back to the ship when you are done. If you have been on a cruise where the kayaking felt like a queue, this is the fix.
Being a 2025 hull, the fittings, air conditioning and bathrooms have not had time to wear. That sounds obvious, but it is the biggest single difference between a $280 cabin on a new ship and a $280 cabin on a ten-year-old one.
Choosing a cabin
Six cabin names, but only three real sizes. Junior and Senior are both 35 sqm. Executive, Premium and Grand Suite are all 45 sqm, spread across $370 to $410 purely on deck position and bed type. Only the Prime Panorama Terrace Suite at 60 sqm with a king bed is genuinely a different room.
Practical advice: take the Junior at $280 or the Executive at $370. Paying $410 for the Grand buys a fixed double bed in the same floor area as the $370 cabin.
Before you book
The drive is about 3 hours, longer than most Lan Ha boats, and the shuttle is charged separately. A tender runs you from the marina out to the ship.
