Lan Ha Bay cruise overview
The three day, two night sailing on Kairos, a Halora ship launched in 2025 with 29 cabins, every one with a balcony and bathtub. The second night is what separates it from the overnight trip: a full middle day takes you to Viet Hai Village on Cat Ba Island and Ba Trai Dao beach in Lan Ha Bay.
What the extra day buys you
A two day cruise gives you one afternoon and one morning on the water. Three days gives you a full middle day, when a day boat reaches the parts of Lan Ha Bay the crowds do not. You also get a second evening at anchor, which is the part most guests remember.
Cabins and price
Four cabin types are sold on this sailing: Junior Suite and Senior Suite (both 30 m²), the 45 m² Executive Suite and the 50 m² Honeymoon Suite. There are only two Executive and two Honeymoon Suites on board. Prices start at $245 per person in low season, based on two adults sharing. High season runs from October to April and costs more; the table on this page shows the exact figure for your date before you book.

Hanoi to Tuan Chau and Lan Ha Bay (Lunch & Dinner Included)
- Morning A limousine collects you in Hanoi for the run down to Tuan Chau Pier, roughly two and a half hours. From the pier a tender ferries you across to Kairos, where you check in.
- Afternoon The third deck dining room serves lunch while the ship threads its way out past the islands. Kairos then pulls up in the Tra Bau area, where you can take a kayak out or swim straight off the boat.
- The sunset gathering follows once the ship is back at anchor. There is a cooking class on the top deck, and the bar runs happy hour alongside it.
- Evening Dinner is served below. Later on there are games, squid fishing off the rail, and a massage service you can book at extra cost. Overnight on board.

Viet Hai Village and Ba Trai Dao (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Included)
- Early morning The top deck opens for Tai Chi if you want it, otherwise breakfast is waiting downstairs.
- Morning A day boat carries the group out to the far reaches of Lan Ha Bay, landing on Cat Ba Island for Viet Hai Village. Bicycles and electric cars are both on offer for getting round. Lunch is eaten back aboard the day boat.
- Afternoon The afternoon goes to kayaking between the smaller islands, then a stop at Ba Trai Dao beach for sunbathing and a swim.
- 16:30 - 17:00 Kairos takes you back for the sunset gathering, with the rest of the time free.
- Evening A second dinner menu is served. After that it is your cabin or the deck. Overnight on board.

Lan Ha Bay to Tuan Chau and Hanoi (Breakfast & Brunch Included)
- 06:00 Those awake for first light can join Tai Chi. A light breakfast is laid out in the restaurant.
- Morning The last excursion is the Dark and Bright Cave. You can paddle through by kayak, or sit back on a sampan while a local rows you into the lagoon behind it. Back aboard afterwards to freshen up and settle the cabin.
- Brunch is served in the dining area on the run back to port.
- 12:30 Disembark. The shuttle to Hanoi waits at the pier.
