Indochine Cruise is the original of three ships Ava sells under the Indochine name. Built 2019, 45 cabins, Lan Ha Bay, from $139 per person.
Three Indochine ships, three different boats
They are easy to confuse, so here is the difference in one place:
Indochine is 2019, 45 cabins, Lan Ha Bay, entry $130. Indochine Grand is 2025, 32 cabins, Lan Ha Bay, entry $152. Indochine Premium is 2023, 37 cabins, and it is the only one on Halong Bay rather than Lan Ha, entry $168.
So the original is the cheapest and the largest, the Grand is the newest and the smallest, and the Premium is the one that changes bay.
Three cabins that scale properly
Junior Suite 32 sqm $130, Suite 42 sqm $158, Executive Suite 54 sqm $193. Unlike many ships in the fleet, each step up here buys real floor area, ten to twelve square metres at a time.
What you give up for the price
This is a 2019 hull, renovated in 2025, against the Grand's 2025 build. You give up age, not facilities: the operator's factsheet lists a pool, an infinity deck with jacuzzi, spa and massage, mini golf and a very large sundeck, plus the restaurant, lounge, cooking class and kayaking.
Before you book
Forty-five cabins makes this a busy ship. High season pushes the Suite from $158 to $189, a steeper rise than the entry cabin's $130 to $139, so the cheap cabin is the better value in December and January.
