Lan Ha Bay cruise overview
Erina launched in 2023 and is one of the newest ships working Lan Ha Bay. It carries 27 cabins, which makes it a mid-size ship rather than a boutique one, and every cabin except the Honeymoon Suite opens onto its own balcony.
What Erina is good at
Two things set it apart from the other Lan Ha boats Ava sells. It has an outdoor jacuzzi pool on the sundeck, and it has a genuine three-bed cabin rather than a double with a rollaway squeezed in. Bathtubs come as standard in the cabins, not as a suite-only upgrade.
The route stays in Lan Ha rather than crossing into the busier Halong side, so the swimming stop and the Dark and Bright Cave visit are usually quiet.
Choosing a cabin
Junior and Senior Suite are the same 36 sqm with the same bed choice; the $15 difference is position on the ship, not space. Skip the upgrade unless you want a specific deck.
Worth knowing before you pick: the Honeymoon Suite is 50 sqm but is the one cabin with no balcony. If sitting outside with coffee matters more to you than floor area, a 36 sqm Senior Suite is the better room.
At the top of the list, Triple Senior (45 sqm, three beds) and President Suite (70 sqm, two people) cost the same. Three travellers take the Triple; two travellers get almost twice the space for the same money in the President.
