Halong Bay cruise overview

Victorious is a 2026 ship with 36 cabins on Halong Bay, and it has the widest choice of any new boat Ava sells: seven cabin types from $340 to $850.

Two cabins that need reading carefully

Most of the list is straightforward. Two entries are not.

The Junior Ocean at $340 is 32 sqm with no balcony. It is the cheapest room on board and the only entry-level cabin here without one. For $25 more the Senior Balcony gives you 35 sqm and a door outside.

The VIP Ocean Suite is 80 sqm at $750, and also has no balcony — while the Executive Terrace is 75 sqm at $650 with a terrace. So the VIP Ocean costs $100 more for five extra square metres and no outdoor space. Unless you have seen that specific room and want it, the Executive Terrace is the better buy.

The rest of the list

Senior Balcony 35 sqm $365, Elite Balcony 40 sqm $480, Executive Terrace 75 sqm $650, Family Grand 83 sqm sleeping four at $830, VIP Honeymoon Terrace 90 sqm $850.

The Family Grand is worth noting on its own: four people in 83 sqm with a balcony on a brand-new ship is about $208 a head.

Before you book

Check-in at the Victorious Cruise Lounge at Tuan Chau Pier, boarding at noon. Day one takes in Luon Cave and Ti Top Island; day two is Sung Sot Cave.

Ava confirms your cabin and pickup within one hour of booking.

Is Victorious Cruise worth it? Our 2026 verdict

Victorious Cruise is a 5-star cruise on Halong Bay with 36 cabins. It is worth it if you want what it does best: family rooms are sold per room, not per head: Family Grand takes 4 guests for $830 in total from May to September, about $208 each. The main thing to weigh up: 36 cabins makes it a big ship, so expect more people at each activity.

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for planning a Halong Bay or Lan Ha Bay overnight cruise with Ava Travel.

Halong Bay is approximately 160km east of Hanoi, usually about a 3 to 3.5-hour drive by expressway. Ava Travel can arrange shared shuttle or private transfer from Hanoi and confirm the exact pickup time before you book.
Lan Ha Bay is the southern extension of Halong Bay, near Cat Ba Island. It has similar limestone scenery but often feels quieter. Many premium cruises operate around Lan Ha Bay for a calmer overnight route.
A 2-day / 1-night cruise works well if your schedule is short and you want the classic overnight experience. A 3-day / 2-night cruise gives more time for kayaking, swimming, remote areas, and a slower pace.
The best months are usually October to April, when the weather is cooler and drier. Summer can still be beautiful, but rain and storm changes are more common, so Ava Travel checks weather and operator updates before departure.
Most overnight cruises include cabin accommodation, onboard meals, entrance fees for the scheduled route, and activities such as kayaking, cave visits, swimming, cooking class, or squid fishing. Drinks, spa, tips, and transfers depend on the cruise package and are confirmed before payment.
Send Ava Travel your travel date, group size, and cabin preference. We check live availability, confirm the best current price, explain inclusions, and help you complete secure checkout once everything is clear.
