- 07:25 – 08:00 Pickup by your guide at your hotel in the Hanoi Old Quarter or Opera House area (exact time depends on your hotel), then drive south to Ninh Binh by limousine van.
- 09:15 Short 15–20 minute rest stop on the way.
- 10:15 Visit Hoa Lu, Vietnam's ancient capital from 968 to 1010, with temples of the Dinh and Le kings. Then cycle around the village to see local life.
