Lan Ha Bay cruise overview
Halora Nova is a steel cruise ship launched in 2026, with 40 cabins, all with a balcony, sailing Lan Ha Bay. The 3 days 2 nights programme adds a full day in Lan Ha with a cycling visit to Viet Hai Village on Cat Ba Island, from $276 per person in low season.
What the extra day adds
On day 2 you leave the ship after breakfast on a day boat for Viet Hai, a quiet village inside Cat Ba National Park, and cycle through forest trails and quiet countryside. Lunch is served on the day boat. You are back on Halora Nova for a free afternoon by the pool, then a second night in the bay. Your cabin is not accessible while you are on the day boat.
Five cabin types, every one with a balcony
All cabins have a private balcony and a bathtub. For two nights, the Deluxe Balcony (30 m²) is $276 per person, Premium Balcony (30 m²) $288, the Suite (45 m², with a private sunbed) $337 and the Grand Suite (60 m²) $503.
The Premium Triple (30 m², one double and one single bed) sleeps three adults and is sold per cabin: $860 for up to three guests.
High season adds about 16 percent
In high season the Deluxe Balcony rises to $304 and the Suite to $369 per person; the Premium Triple is $948 per cabin.
Holiday surcharge: Halora adds 20% to the cabin price for departures on 24 December, 31 December and the first three days of Tet (Lunar New Year; 6–8 February 2027). The booking table does not add it automatically, so we confirm the surcharge with you on WhatsApp before your booking is final.
On board
All-season jacuzzi pool, spa and massage (charged on board), restaurant, bar, sundeck, lift and Wi-Fi. Kayaking, the cooking class, cycling in Viet Hai, meditation and squid fishing are included in the fare.

A ship launched in 2026 has almost no independent review history. That cuts both ways: the fittings are new, but nobody has reported back yet on the service. Ask us what we are hearing from recent guests.

Optional transfer from Hanoi Old Quarter to Tuan Chau Marina, about 2.5 hours (add-on, confirm with Ava after booking). Check in at the Halora Nova lounge, then a tender to the ship: welcome drink, safety briefing and cabin check-in. Buffet lunch while the ship sails into Lan Ha Bay.
Afternoon
Kayaking or swimming in the Tra Bau area (summer) or Ao Ech lagoon (winter). Vietnamese cooking class, then happy hour and sunset canapés on the sundeck.
Evening
Seafood dinner in the restaurant. Squid fishing, spa (extra charge) or free time on deck. Overnight on board in Lan Ha Bay.
