Morning:
Option 1 (Pick-up from Central Vietnam):
Option 2 (Pick-up from Hue):
First stop: Bach Ma National Park Visitor Center. Here you’ll enjoy an informative introduction about the park’s incredible biodiversity and rare flora & fauna.
Continue to Do Quyen Restaurant area, then trek along beautiful forest trails deep into the heart of Bach Ma to reach Ngu Ho (Five Lakes). Along the way, enjoy the pristine wilderness, cool fresh air, and the soothing sound of mountain streams. At Ngu Ho, five natural pools of different sizes are connected by gentle waterfalls, surrounded by ancient primary forest and rare trees. This is the perfect spot to swim in crystal-clear cool water, relax on the rocks, or simply soak in the magnificent scenery.
From Ngu Ho, trek through old-growth forest filled with birdsong and rustling leaves to the top of Do Quyen Waterfall. The trail has some steep sections, but every step rewards you with stunning views. In spring (Feb–Mar), the path is lined with brilliant red and pink rhododendrons in full bloom – an absolutely magical sight when combined with the roar of the waterfall.
Midday:
Arrive at the top of Do Quyen Waterfall for a scenic picnic lunch surrounded by mountains and forest. Enjoy delicious food while taking in the incredible natural beauty.
(Optional & highly recommended): Descend 1,378 stone steps to the base of the waterfall – one of the tallest in Southeast Asia (over 300m high). At the bottom, feel the raw power of the cascading water and the cool mist that creates a mystical atmosphere all around.
Afternoon:
Continue upward to Hai Vong Dai – the highest point of the tour and the park’s most iconic viewpoint. Standing at 1,448m, you’ll be rewarded with a jaw-dropping 360° panorama: rolling mountains, drifting clouds, the sparkling East Sea, Cau Hai Lagoon, Tam Giang Lagoon, and on clear days, the beaches of Canh Duong. This is also one of the best sunset spots in central Vietnam – watch the sky explode in golden, pink, and purple hues as the sun dips behind the mountains.
After chasing clouds and capturing photos along the trails, return to the parking area and transfer back to your hotel, ending an amazing day in nature.
