Lan Ha Bay cruise overview
Metta is a 2022 ship with 25 cabins on Lan Ha Bay, and it is the cheapest boat of its age and size that Ava sells: the entry cabin is 35 sqm at $255.
Where the value is
Two things stand out. The pickup from Hanoi is by limousine van rather than a coach, which on a 2.5-hour road transfer is a real difference. And the Honeymoon Suite is 60 sqm for $360 — the largest cabin in this price band on the whole bay.
Day one goes to Tra Bau or Ba Trai Dao depending on conditions, both quieter than the main anchorages.
Choosing a cabin
Junior and Senior Suite are both 35 sqm, $255 and $270, so the $15 is position on the ship rather than space. Executive Suite is 45 sqm at $330.
Then the Honeymoon Suite at 60 sqm for $360. Compare it against the Executive: $30 more buys 15 extra square metres. Unless the Executive's deck position matters to you, the Honeymoon is the better room, and there is nothing about it that requires you to be on a honeymoon.

Transfer is charged separately and a tender runs from Tuan Chau Pier out to the ship. Tai Chi is at 06:15 on day two.
