Bai Tu Long Bay cruise overview
Cycad launched in 2025 with 24 cabins and is the newest ship working Bai Tu Long Bay.
New ship, quiet bay
Bai Tu Long takes a fraction of the traffic that Halong does, and until recently the boats there were older ones. Cycad changes that: a 2025 hull on the empty water, which is a combination Ava could not offer on this bay a year ago.
Day two goes into Vung Vieng fishing village by rowing boat, and day one anchors at Thien Canh Son.
Choosing a cabin
The one thing to check is the entry room. Deluxe Seaview at $272 has no balcony; Junior Balcony at $318 does. That $46 is the whole difference, and on a new ship where the balconies are the good part it is worth paying.
Above that: Executive Balcony $408 and the Ambassador Suite 46 sqm at $724 (prices per cabin for two, May to September).
For families, the Family Balcony sleeps four in 36 sqm at $656. Four-berth cabins are rare on this bay, and this is one of the few on a brand-new ship.
The operator publishes floor areas for the larger cabins only. Ava will not guess at the others; ask us and we will get them in writing.

Departure is Halong International Harbour (Sunworld), about 2.5 hours from Hanoi, then a tender out to the ship. Transfer is charged separately.
