What V'Spirit is good at
It has a proper triple cabin, which matters more than it sounds. Most ships handle a third guest by wheeling a spare bed into a double. V'Spirit sells the Junior Triple as its own room type at $460.
The afternoon stop is Tra Bau, one of the more secluded corners of Lan Ha, and day two goes through Bright Cave by sampan rowed by a local rather than by kayak. Between the small passenger count and the quiet anchorage, this is the ship to pick if crowds are what put you off Halong.
